So with the notary thing here is what happened, I came
out of the internet shop then we went to the Barber and as I was talking
to the barber I thought he might know where I could find one, sure
enough he did, there was an attorney office 2 doors down from the barber
and, we went into the office the guy there did what he needed to do and
it was done haha I was amazed at how easy it was and it only cost 50
pesos not too bad.
This week has been great, we have had some progress
in getting support from the members, and we got some referrals that we
plan to contact this week. As far as the families we are teaching go,
the first family is a mom her two sons and a grandma, they are very nice
to us. They actually offered us coffee after our first appointment, we
just told them that we don’t drink coffee and they were nice about it.
The mom is actually a Methodist pastor, she was very surprised to know
that we were volunteers and that we don’t get paid to be missionaries.
Another family we are teaching are amazing, they are practically
members, when we found them they already had a picture of the Manila
temple hanging up in their house. What happened with them is that they
were taught by the missionaries a long time ago but then they were both
transferred and so the family just kind of slipped through and haven’t
seen missionaries for years.
I am loving this area, its challenging and rewarding, Elder Tietjen is a great missionary we have lots of fun and work hard.
I love all of you, thanks for the support
Love Elder Proctor
